I primarily listen to industrial and Goth music. By Goth, I mean those folks who dress up all in black and try with all their might not to shop at Hot Topic, and not the third-century people who caused so much trouble later on in history. That said, I do listen to some other music. Here's a short list of who and what I listen to. I'll note that I also enjoy classical music, primarily orchestral pieces. I will not list any classical composers or pieces here, as I'm not well-versed in the nomenclature.

The Classics

Siouxsie and the Banshees - One of the first gothy bands I ever listened to. Oddly enough, I never heard much of their stuff during the 80's.

Front 242 - The first industrial album I ever owned was Front 242's "Front By Front". I still own it and listen to it today. Favorite tunes include "Doldrums," "Crushed," "Sacrifice," "Gripped by Fear," and "Tragedy for You." Like many people, I've heard "Headhunter" more times than is good for me.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Currently, the only album I own is "Murder Ballads." One of these days I'll pick up "Let Love In," if only for "Do Ya Love Me?". I'm still a little ambivalent on their later work.

Black Tape for a Blue Girl - Dark and beautiful.

The Sisters of Mercy - I'm particularly fond of the album "Vision Thing."

Big Hat - These folks are a bit more obscure, unless you're a part of the Chicago scene. Hauntingly beautiful melodies. Contact Preston Klik at DivaNation records to get hold of their stuff.

Kraftwerk - Electronic pioneers. I'm especially fond of "Trans Europe Express."

Modern

The Creatures - Siouxsie is at it again! Different, but very cool.

Project Pitchfork - Incredibly well-crafted industrial music. A must for anyone's collection.

Apoptygma Berzerk - Well-crafted electro industrial. Their last album, "Welcome To Earth," got old rather quickly, though.

Love Spirals Downwards - Dreamy, bass-heavy music. Perfect for letting your mind roam.

My Scarlet Life - Dark and lively, born from the ashes of Big Hat. Sadly, MSL are no more, but their old stuff is available from DivaNation.

Not Gothy or industrial, just good

The Moody Blues - Yes, I like the Moody Blues. Especially "Days of Future Passed." So sue me.

Jethro Tull - I love Jethro Tull. Rock and roll combined with a flute doesn't sound like it would be good, but it is, when they do it.

Johnny Rivers - My wife and I listen to the local oldies station before we go to sleep. As such, I hear a fair amount of his stuff, and I like it. Especially the song about Memphis, Tennesee.

Neil Diamond - Yes, Neil Diamond. He's another one I hear on the oldies station. I don't own any of his albums.

Mediaeval Baebes - Started by a member of Miranda Sex Garden, no less. They kick ass.

Yoko Kanno, Macross Plus, soundtracks 1 and 2 - These are the soundtracks to an anime miniseries, and have classical pieces, J-Pop, and just wierd and cool stuff. Definitely worth a listen.

This is a small sampling of my musical tastes. Hopefully, it's fairly representative of what I like.
